Lord, today we pray for the electorate. When there is a real tendency to be angry and divisive, we pray that they experience joy. Help them to focus on the good things in their lives and the candidates in their riding running for election. We pray that in their great joy and love for the people of Canada that they would be an encouragement. “Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people.” (Philemon 1:7) We ask this all in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Seigneur, nous prions aujourd’hui pour l’électorat. Alors qu’il existe une réelle tendance à la colère et la division, nous prions qu’ils expérimentent ta joie. Aide-les à se concentrer sur les bonnes choses dans leur vie et sur les candidats de leur circonscription qui se présentent aux élections. Nous prions pour que, dans leur grande joie et leur amour pour le peuple canadien, ils soient un encouragement. « J’ai, en effet, éprouvé beaucoup de joie et de consolation au sujet de ta charité; car par toi, frère, le coeur des saints a été tranquillisé. » (Philémon 1:7) Nous demandons tout cela au nom de Jésus. Amen.
