Great and Merciful God, we pause to give thanks for the gift of Queen Elizabeth. Thank you for her courage, character, wisdom and longevity. We have benefited from her strong and stable leadership.
We pray for her family today. While we have lost a Queen, they have lost a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. We ask that you would comfort them in their loss and grant them great grace as they grieve.We pray today for King Charles III. As he assumes his role as king, we ask that you grant him tremendous grace, wisdom and strength as he serves. Let your hand be upon him, and may he lead with mercy, justice and compassion.
