As we come to You during this very serious time in our province, we are reminded that You tell us that nothing is impossible with You! As we look at the current fire situation and consider the many fires, the thousands evacuated from their homes and the many communities under threat of destruction we acknowledge that we need Your mercy and strength to deliver us.
We pray for the thousands who have been evacuated and those who are on evacuation alert. We ask that You would grant them peace that overcomes the stress and anxiety of their current situation. Grant them rest during this difficult time. We pray for those who have lost properties, businesses or perhaps the prospect of losing their jobs and ask that You would grant them comfort and show them Your provision. Fill them with the hope of a better day that will sustain them as they rebuild.
We pray for the many volunteers who are serving people in evacuation centres. Thank you for the generosity of the many who have opened their homes, barns, hearts and wallets to those who are currently displaced. Bless those who have given and served over these days and those who will do so in the days to come.
We pray today for those who are fighting these fires and ask that You would protect and help them.
Finally, we ask that You would send storm free rain to our province that would both quench the fires and eliminate the threat of more.
We ask this in confidence knowing that You are eager and able to respond because nothing is impossible with You!
