Proverbs 12:22 CSBLying lips are detestable to the Lord, but faithful people are his delight.
Lord, we pray for the tone of this provincial election campaign. In a time when political disagreement can quickly become personal and divisive, help us disagree without becoming enemies. Guard candidates, campaigns and citizens from dishonesty, personal attacks, misinformation and bitterness. Give journalists wisdom and integrity as they report on the campaign, and give each of us discernment about what we read, watch and share. May truth matter. May character matter. May respect matter. Give British Columbia a healthy democratic conversation in the weeks ahead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
