Eternal Lord of Lords, we come before You today with humble hearts, lifting Hon. Barb Ramsay to Your precious throne of grace. Father, we pray that Your light will shine through her actions so they reflect Your justice, mercy, and love. As she represents the needs of the people of Summerside-South Drive in the legislature, let her heart be anchored in what is right, not merely in what is popular. May she remember that wisdom and power are in Your hands and that she is ultimately accountable to You. Lord, renew her strength and protect her as she goes out and comes in. We pray for her family; surround them with Your peace and love, and meet them at the very point of their needs. We cover them in the blood of Jesus. May Your favour bring them abundant blessings from expected and unexpected sources. We come against anything contrary to Your will in this household and declare that it is well with every member of her family. We pray these things in Jesus’ name. Amen!
The Honourable Barb Ramsay was sworn in as Minister of Social Development and Seniors on April 14, 2023, following her election as MLA for District 22, Summerside-South Drive, on April 3, 2023. In a cabinet shuffle in February 2026, she was also made Minister Responsible for the Status of Women. Barb has worked for the people of District 22, Summerside-South Drive in many ways through her life. She has been a Youth Addictions Counsellor with the Youth Justice facility and Strength Program, and she has worked as a Patient Care Nurse with the medical and palliative units at Prince County Hospital. Twice elected to Summerside City Council, Barb has been the Council representative for emergency services and Co-Chair of the Planning Committee. A mom of two and grandmother to six, Barb is proud to call District 22, Summerside-South Drive, home.
