Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne on behalf of Hon. Bloyce Thompson. We ask that You bless him and keep him. Would You grant him a great measure of wisdom and patience, strength, and renewed energy each day as he sets out to play a large role in helping lead our province in his role as Deputy Minister, Minister of Agriculture, Justice and Public Safety, and Attorney General. There is so much on his shoulders. Help him to know that for You these burdens are light as he surrenders them to You. Grant him and his family good peace and rest amongst their busy schedules. Uphold them and sustain them, and they will be more and more filled with the blessing of knowing You are in control. All in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Bloyce Thompson was first elected as MLA for District 8, Stanhope–Marshfield, in 2019 and re-elected in 2023. He served as Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Minister of Agriculture, and Deputy Premier before being sworn in as the 35th Premier of Prince Edward Island in December 2025, a role he held until February 2026. A third-generation dairy farmer from Frenchfort, PEI, he has been an active advocate for the dairy industry in Canada and internationally. Thompson has also contributed to his community through industry leadership roles, local organizations, and coaching. He is a graduate of Dalhousie Agricultural College and lives with his wife Terri and their three children.
