Father in heaven, we lift Your servant, Hon. Bloyce Thompson, as he serves his constituents as Minister of Agriculture, Justice and Public Safety, and Attorney General, as well as running a successful dairy farm. This is a workload that requires the mind, soul, and body to be in the best possible condition to perform his duties well. May he experience a fresh encounter with God to gain wisdom and discernment to carry out each of his endeavours well. We pray for his family who stand beside him, especially in keeping the farm operation ongoing in his absence. We pray for his team members, that they will work together to achieve more. May the God of hope fill him with all joy and peace as he trusts in Him. We pray all this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Bloyce Thompson was first elected as MLA for District 8, Stanhope–Marshfield, in 2019 and re-elected in 2023. He served as Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Minister of Agriculture, and Deputy Premier before being sworn in as the 35th Premier of Prince Edward Island in December 2025, a role he held until February 2026. A third-generation dairy farmer from Frenchfort, PEI, he has been an active advocate for the dairy industry in Canada and internationally. Thompson has also contributed to his community through industry leadership roles, local organizations, and coaching. He is a graduate of Dalhousie Agricultural College and lives with his wife Terri and their three children.
