Bowinn Ma is the MLA for North Vancouver–Lonsdale and British Columbia’s first Minister of Infrastructure, a ministry established in 2024 to deliver provincial capital infrastructure projects. She previously served as the province’s first Minister of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness, overseeing responses to major disasters including wildfires, flooding, drought, and a provincial state of emergency. Bowinn has also held roles as Minister of State for Infrastructure and Parliamentary Secretary for TransLink, and in 2018 led the Integrated North Shore Transportation Planning Project. Before entering public office, she managed expansion and redevelopment projects at Vancouver International Airport. Bowinn is a registered professional engineer, a certified project management professional, and a mother.
