Hon. Brian Pallister, Fort Whyte

Father God, we come to you and ask that you be the comforter and councillor to Hon. Brian Pallister. We also ask that you provide him wisdom and guidance dealing with the Covid pandemic and the resulting economic challenges. We pray that he remains healthy and rested during these unusual days. Thank you, Father God, for the blessings you bestow on Brian. Amen.

Brian Pallister is the Premier of Manitoba, the Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba and the MLA for Fort Whyte. He resides in Winnipeg with his wife Esther and their two daughters, Quinn and Shawn. Brian graduated from Brandon University, with degrees in arts and education. From 1976 to 1979, he taught social studies at William Morton Collegiate in Gladstone, Manitoba. In 1980, he became a chartered financial consultant and started a financial services company that grew into Pallister Financial. Brian entered politics in 1992 as the MLA for Portage La Prairie and became Minister of Government Services in 1995. In 2000, he was elected as the MP for Portage-Lisgar. During his 8-year tenure in Parliament, he served as chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance, as well as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Trade and to the Minister of International Cooperation. In July of 2012, Brian became leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba. He was elected as MLA for Fort Whyte four months later. On April 19, 2016, he became Manitoba’s twenty-second premier, with PC candidates winning 40 of 57 seats.
