Heavenly Father, we lift Premier David Eby before You today. Thank You for the responsibility You have entrusted to him to lead our province through a complex and changing season. Give Premier Eby wisdom beyond his own understanding, clarity when decisions are difficult, and courage to lead with integrity and humility. Guard him from the pressures that come with public leadership, and surround him with wise and trustworthy people. Bless him and his family with health, peace, and times of genuine rest. David Eby currently serves as the 37th Premier of British Columbia and was sworn in on November 18, 2022. He was first elected as the MLA for Vancouver-Point Grey in 2013 and has since been re-elected three times. Before becoming Premier, he served as Attorney General and held responsibility for gaming, liquor policy, ICBC, and housing. Prior to entering public office, David worked as a human rights lawyer, served as executive director of the BC Civil Liberties Association, and taught law at the University of British Columbia. He holds a degree in English from the University of Waterloo and a law degree from Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law. Raised in Ontario, David now lives in Vancouver with his wife and their three children and enjoys spending time with his family, practicing yoga, and enjoying the beauty of the West Coast.
