Lord God, we thank you for the Hon Derek Johnson, MLA for Interlake Gimli. We thank you for his passion and experience in business and municipal relationships. Derek Johnson was elected to his first term as the MLA for Interlake on April 19, 2016 and re-elected to represent Interlake-Gimli in 2019. In addition to his duties as MLA, he serves as the Minister of Agriculture. Prior to serving as MLA, Derek worked as a Financial Advisor serving area residents. He was the Assistant Branch Manager for a local financial institution. Derek was born and raised in Oak Point, where his family has resided for the past four generations. Derek now lives on the shores of Lake Manitoba with his wife Tara and their children, Skyler and Charmaine.
