Lord, we lift up to you today Hon. Derek Johnson in prayer and blessing. We ask Lord for you to bless Derek with direction and wisdom to carry it forward. We thank you Lord for Derek’s willingness and desire to serve Manitobans. We pray to the Lord, that he would have favour among his constituents and colleagues. We ask Lord for you to provide Derek and his family with love, joy and wellness. May Derek feel your loving presence today and the prayers of blessings bestowed unto him and his family. May Derek feel renewed in strength, body and mind today. Amen.
Derek Johnson was elected to his first term as the MLA for Interlake on April 19, 2016 and re-elected to represent Interlake-Gimli in 2019. In addition to his duties as MLA, he serves as the Minister of Agriculture. Prior to serving as MLA, Derek worked as a Financial Advisor serving area residents. He was the Assistant Branch Manager for a local financial institution. Derek was born and raised in Oak Point, where his family has resided for the past four generations. Derek now lives on the shores of Lake Manitoba with his wife Tara and their children, Skyler and Charmaine.
