Heavenly Father, we thank you today for those that you have put in place to govern our province. We thank you for Honourable Don Morgan. We thank you for the years he has served in the legislature. We look to you that you would grant him wisdom, grace and clearness of mind as he executes his many roles and responsibilities. We ask that you would guard his health and family life as he serves you diligently, in Jesus name. Amen.
Don Morgan was born, raised and educated in Saskatoon. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan (College of Law) in 1978 and practiced law in Saskatoon from 1979 to 1988. Between 1988 and 1992, he was chair and CEO of the Saskatchewan Legal Aid Commission and was appointed as Queen’s Counsel in 1990. He practiced law in Saskatoon from 1992 until 2007. Don also served on the Saskatoon Public School Board from 1999 to 2003, including a term as board chair. Don was first elected to the Legislative Assembly in November 2003. The former Deputy Premier currently serves as Saskatchewan’s Minister of Crown Investments Corporation and Minister responsible for all major Crown corporations, Minister of labour relations and workplace safety and Minister responsible for the Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board. Don and his wife Sandy reside in the Rosewood area of Saskatoon.
