Dear Heavenly Father, today we pray for the Honourable Doug Schweitzer, MLA for Calgary-Elbow. We pray especially for Mr. Schweitzer’s work in creating new jobs and infrastructure. From the very beginning of creation, you created work for mankind in the Garden and we ask that you would continue to create good working conditions for all Albertans. We ask that you would bless Doug with your presence in all areas of his life. In the beautiful name of Jesus we pray. Amen!
Doug Schweitzer was elected on April 16, 2019, as the MLA for Calgary-Elbow. A husband, father of two young girls and a long-serving community volunteer, Schweitzer was a partner at a leading Alberta law firm as a restructuring and bankruptcy lawyer. He was appointed as Alberta’s Minister of Justice and Attorney General on April 30, 2019. He is committed to working with Alberta’s prosecutors, police and justice system to improve public safety, address rural crime, and make Alberta a leader in combating human trafficking.
