Hon. Everett Hindley, Swift Current

Lord Jesus, we thank you for Hon Everett Hindley. We thank you for the many years he has served the people of Swift Current at a constituency level and now as their MLA. We thank you for the skills, abilities and experience you have given him to now lead our province with excellence in his portfolio responsibilities which are each so vital at this point in our province’s history. We ask that you give him wisdom (James 1:5) in executing his responsibilities at this critical time. In Jesus’ name.

Everett Hindley was elected MLA for Swift Current on March 1, 2018 and again in 2020. In 2020 he was named Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, Seniors and Rural Remote Health. Everett grew up on a family farm near Melfort, and graduated from the Western Academy Broadcasting College in Saskatoon. Everett moved to Swift Current and was the morning news announcer and news director for the local radio stations for 3 1/2 years and the colour commentator for the Swift Current Broncos hockey broadcasts. In 1999, Everett began working for MLA Brad Wall as his constituency assistant. He managed the local MLA office until the spring of 2006 when he became the executive assistant to the Leader of the Opposition. Upon the Saskatchewan Party’s election as government in 2007, Everett served as the executive assistant to the Premier. During his years of public service he has been part of several international trade missions. Everett and his wife Anita have two grown children and are proud grandparents.
