Hon Flor Marcelino, Logan

Father Hon Flor Marcelino has great influence,
multiculturalism is one. Please grant her Your Devine wisdom as she influences
decisions that could create tensions. May she have angels all around her…may
she have Godly influences in her life daily. She needs to see her own need

In 2007, she became the first woman of colour ever elected to the Manitoba Legislative Assembly. She was re-elected MLA for Logan in 2011 and 2016. Born in the Philippines, Flor and her family moved to Winnipeg in 1982. Between 2009 and 2016, Flor served as Minister for Culture, Heritage, and Tourism, and Minister for Multiculturalism and Literacy. In this role she oversaw the NDP government’s increasing investments in adult learning and literacy, and met with over 50 multicultural organizations across Manitoba.
