Lord, we pray today for the Hon Ian Wishart. May he be encouraged today as he serves in his role and surround him with supportive people to help accomplish his work. We pray that you give him the strength and guidance in all that he does today both at work and at home. Bless his family with your joy and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Ian Wishart was first elected as the MLA for Portage la Prairie in 2011 and re-elected in 2016. From 2016 to 2018, Ian served in cabinet as Minister of Education and Training. Currently, Ian is the Legislative Assistant to the Minister of Education and Training with specific responsibilities to lead our government’s comprehensive review of the K-12 education system in Manitoba. Ian lives on the fourth generation family farm just north of Portage la Prairie with his wife Leslie and their two children.
