Hon. Jason Copping, Calgary-Varsity

Dear Jesus today we bring before You Jason Copping our Minister of Labour and Immigration representing Calgary-Varsity.  Lord give him great strategies to help him implement ways to create new job opportunities for unemployed Albertans.  Father give him the insight he needs also to navigate the challenges new Canadians face in our province as the Minister of Immigration.   Lord watch over him as he serves our province and his constituents bless him with Your wisdom we pray.  In Your precious name.  Amen……

Jason lives in Calgary-Varsity with his wife and three daughters where he works in the constituency as a management consultant and a labour mediator and arbitrator. Jason teaches Business Negotiations, Human Resource Management, Labour Relations and Labour & Employment Law for the business schools at the University of Calgary and University of Lethbridge. Jason also worked for nearly twenty years in the transportation industry at Canadian Pacific Railway in Human Resources & Labour Relations, Marketing & Sales and Corporate Affairs, including Government Relations. He is a member of the Alberta Labour Relations Board, Co-Chair of the Canadian Industrial Relations Association – Calgary Chapter and has chaired the Parent Council at his children’s school. Jason is also a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Alberta. Jason has a Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations from Queen’s University and a Master’s Degree in Law (Labour & Employment) from Osgoode Hall, York University.
