The Honourable Jenn Redmond represents the Mermaid-Stratford riding in the PEI Legislature and was first elected for that district in April 2023. She is currently the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Artificial Intelligence. We pray, Lord, that You would give Jenn wisdom, diligence, and insight into the various tasks and challenges that she will meet in carrying out her duties in the important areas that she has been assigned. We pray that all her deliberations will be upright, insightful, and helpful to all people in PEI. We pray that she would continually be friendly and helpful to all her coworkers in the Legislature who are working toward the best possible environment and government, and that she would be provided by You, Father, with great amounts of energy and wisdom as she carries out her duties for the province. We further pray to the Lord that she and her entire family will continually grow in their relationship with You. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen.
A graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island and Holland College, Jenn has served on the boards of groups like the Boys and Girl Club, the Holland College Early Learning Centre and Recreation PEI. Passionate about ringette, she has been a coach and volunteer with the Charlottetown and Area Ringette Association. Jenn was elected as the MLA for District 5, Mermaid-Stratford, on April 3rd, 2023 and sworn-in as Minister of Workforce, Advanced Learning and Population. In October of 2024, she was also appointed Minister Responsible for the Status of Women. In February 2026, Jenn resigned her cabinet position, but was appointed Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Artificial Intelligence in March 2026. Jenn, her husband Chad, their daughter, and their puppy live in Mermaid.
