Dear Lord, thank You for Hon. Jill Burridge and her devoted service to the people of Stratford–Keppoch and the entire province of Prince Edward Island. In her role as Minister of Finance and Affordability, we pray that You fill her with innovative ideas and divine wisdom to make sound economic decisions that will bring prosperity to our province and honour to Your name. We lift her up unto Your throne of grace this day and pray that You grant her divine favour, leading to uncommon blessings and growth in the economy of our province. Give her much strength and courage to manage the affairs of her office with integrity and accountability. We commit her entire family unto You, Lord. We plead the blood of Jesus over each one of them. Cover them in the shadow of Your wings. This year, we pray for restoration in every aspect of their lives—in their finances, health, and relationships with You and each other. Be their very present help in times of need. We pray all of these in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
A professional land surveyor, Jill was the first woman commissioned as a land surveyor in the province of Saskatchewan after studying Urban and Rural Planning Technology at Holland College and Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering at the University of New Brunswick. A former member of Stratford Council, Jill chaired the Planning, Heritage and Development and the Community Campus Committees and was Vice Chair of the Finance Committee. Jill is Co-Chair of the Stratford High School Planning and Construction Committee and Chair of SHAPE Stratford, a CMHC initiative to advance affordable housing opportunities in Stratford. Jill was elected as the MLA for District 6, Stratford-Keppoch, on April 3rd, 2023. Originally from Souris, Jill is a proud Islander happy to now call Stratford home, along with her husband Brian and their 2 children.
