Heavenly Father, we lift up the Hon. Jodie Wickens to You. Grant her wisdom and compassion today as she serves families and children across British Columbia. Strengthen her in moments of difficulty and fill her with clarity in every decision. Bless her marriage and fill her home with peace, joy, and unity. Jodie Wickens was elected MLA for Coquitlam-Burke Mountain in 2016 and again in 2024. She is the Minister for Children and Family Development. Jodie previously served as the Minister of State for Child Care and Children and Youth with Support Needs. Before being elected to the Legislative Assembly for a second time, Jodie held various executive leadership roles for non-profit organizations delivering health and social services to children and families. Most recently, she worked as the Director of Programs and Services at SHARE Family & Community Services Society. A mother herself, Jodie and her husband Brian have two children, and have lived in Coquitlam for over 20 years.
