Heavenly Father, we thank you for MPP John Yakabuski and his long history of faithful service to his riding. We are grateful for his passion he brings to his role. In his advocacy for the last, the least, and the left out, we thank you that he displays Kingdom values that reflect your Father’s heart. We ask that you would abundantly bless John as he continues to serve the people of Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke, and give a great blessing to his family as they support him in this role. Since 2003, John Yakabuski has been serving the riding of Renfrew—Nipissing—Pembroke. At present, he serves as Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry. John Yakabuski was re-elected June 7th, 2018, for his fifth term in office. John’s father, Paul Yakabuski, served as the Provincial Member for the riding of Renfrew South for 24 years. John is known locally as the former owner-operator of Yakabuski’s Home Hardware in Barry’s Bay, which he operated for 20 years. He is also known for his community service including service to the Royal Canadian Legion, Madawaska Valley Lions Club, and the Boy Scouts. In 2010, John recorded and released his second CD entitled “Taking Care” to raise funds that go directly to nine long term care homes in his riding. John’s first CD, “To Your Health” raised over $50,000 for the five local hospitals in Renfrew County. He and his wife Vicky have four children and eight grandchildren.
