Hon. Kaycee Madu, Edmonton-South West

Father God, today we are thankful for the Honourable Kaycee Madu. Thank you for his skills, experiences, and knowledge that he brings to his role, may he use it all as you would guide him. Continue to fill him with compassion and understanding in all he does. May he find favour as he goes about his days. We pray this all in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Kaycee Madu was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Edmonton-South West, on April 16, 2019. Mr. Madu serves as Minister of Labour and Immigration. He is a husband and father of three, was born and raised in the Southeastern part of Nigeria. There, he attended the University of Lagos and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws Honours degree. In 2005, he and his wife migrated to Canada. Madu has been a lawyer for sixteen years, practising in both Nigeria and Alberta. In addition to running Tisel Law Office with his wife, Emem, he has worked for Legal Aid Alberta, and volunteered with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and the Lawyer Referral Program of the Law Society of Alberta. Madu has also worked as a senior technical advisor for the Government of Alberta with a focus on legislative and regulatory reviews, operational and strategic public policies, issues management and stakeholder consultation.
