Hon. Kaycee Madu, Edmonton-South West

Lord, today we thank you for the Honourable Kaycee Madu. We thank you for his leadership and for his ability to sift through the fine details while developing plans and strategies for the future that will benefit all Albertans. We ask that you would grant him much wisdom and surround him with those that will help carry the load and keep his hands from falling. We declare Your blessing, protection and favour over the Honourable Kaycee Madu, his marriage and family and Jesus’ name.

Kaycee Madu was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Edmonton-South West, on April 16, 2019. Mr. Madu serves as Minister of Labour and Immigration. He is a husband and father of three, was born and raised in the Southeastern part of Nigeria. There, he attended the University of Lagos and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws Honours degree. In 2005, he and his wife migrated to Canada. Madu has been a lawyer for sixteen years, practising in both Nigeria and Alberta. In addition to running Tisel Law Office with his wife, Emem, he has worked for Legal Aid Alberta, and volunteered with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and the Lawyer Referral Program of the Law Society of Alberta. Madu has also worked as a senior technical advisor for the Government of Alberta with a focus on legislative and regulatory reviews, operational and strategic public policies, issues management and stakeholder consultation.
