Hon. Kaycee Madu, Edmonton-South West

Father in heaven – today we thank you for the Honourable Kaycee Madu and we lift him up to your throne room in prayer. We thank you for the responsibilities that You have entrusted to him. We ask that you grant him much wisdom in accordance with your word in James 3:17 ‘But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.’ We declare your blessing, protection and favour upon the Honourable Kaycee Madu, his wife, marriage and family in Jesus’ name.

Kaycee Madu was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Edmonton-South West, on April 16, 2019. Mr. Madu serves as Minister of Labour and Immigration. He is a husband and father of three, was born and raised in the Southeastern part of Nigeria. There, he attended the University of Lagos and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws Honours degree. In 2005, he and his wife migrated to Canada. Madu has been a lawyer for sixteen years, practising in both Nigeria and Alberta. In addition to running Tisel Law Office with his wife, Emem, he has worked for Legal Aid Alberta, and volunteered with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and the Lawyer Referral Program of the Law Society of Alberta. Madu has also worked as a senior technical advisor for the Government of Alberta with a focus on legislative and regulatory reviews, operational and strategic public policies, issues management and stakeholder consultation.
