God, we pray for Honorable Ken Krawetz. We pray that You would give him the wisdom and knowledge he needs to
make the important decisions he faces for those he serves in the community of
Canora – Pelly. Thank You that you have helped him to become a strong leader
in our Province. Bless him and his family with health and strength. Amen.
Ken was first elected as MLA for Canora-Pelly constituency in 1995. During his years in opposition he served as critic for a number of major portfolios including Education, Labour, Health, and Finance. Ken was also the interim leader of the Saskatchewan Party and Leader of the Opposition from 1997 to 1999.
He was Deputy Leader of the Saskatchewan Party. After his re-election in the 2007 provincial election, he was appointed Deputy Premier and Minister of Education. He also chaired the province’s treasury board. In June 2010, Ken was assigned new duties and serves as Minister of Finance while retaining his duties as Deputy Premier.
As an avid sports fan, Ken has played hockey and fastball for many years. He is also a provincially registered volleyball official.
Ken currently resides on the family farm that he continues to operate with his wife Gail. They have two adult children and 2 grandchildren.
