Thank you, Father, for Lori Carr’s dedication to serve in public office in our provincial legislature. Grant her your divine wisdom in serving as Minister of Social Services. Give her wisdom in guiding and implementing policy that will support those who are vulnerable and in need of assistance, helping them to live with dignity. Lori was elected MLA for Estevan in the 2016 provincial election and again in 2020. Living in Estevan with her partner Bart, Lori spent 20 years working as a licensed assistant in a financial planning office. She is very active in the community as a board member for the Air Cadet League, Sun Country Health Region and Ducks Unlimited. Lori also spent ten years serving on Estevan City Council. In 2018, she was appointed Minister of Highways and Infrastructure and in 2020 appointed Minister of Social Services. Prior to this, Lori was a member of the government’s House leadership team as Deputy Whip and had served both the Minister of Finance and the Minister responsible for SaskPower as a Legislative Secretary. Lori has raised three children and is a very proud grandmother.
