Lord, surround MLA Matt Wiebe today and in the coming days with Your wisdom and guidance. May his thoughts and plans be established by You. Grant him the ability to discern what is of real value as he fulfills his role as Attorney General and Minister of Justice. May he be filled with compassion as he meets the needs of the people in his constituency. Bless his family members, and may love and faithfulness never leave them. May he win favour and a good name with all Manitobans. In Christ’s name, Amen.
Matt Wiebe was first elected as the MLA for Concordia in 2010. He has served in a variety of roles including the whip for the official opposition, chair of the Public Accounts Committee, as well as critic for health, education, municipal relations, infrastructure and most recently, justice. Wiebe holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Manitoba. Prior to politics, he served on several community boards and with local advocacy groups around issues of literacy, newcomer services and community safety.
