Hon. Muhammad Yaseen, Calgary-North

Father we lift Mr. Yaseen up to you in prayer and thank you that you have called him by name! (Isaiah 43:1) May you bless Mr. Yaseen with the richness of your mercy, grace and love in all of his job responsibilities. May you guide him, lead him, direct him and anoint him with much JOY and PEACE!  May you guard his heart and grant him a ‘steadfastness’ in his walk and path. Muhammad Yaseen was elected in 2019 and was appointed Parliamentary Secretary of Immigration. Prior to serving, Mr. Yaseen worked in the oil industry for almost 40 years. An engineer by profession, he is experienced in reservoir/joint ventures engineering, and he has held advisory roles for processing, transportation, contracts and projects. He holds a bachelor of science in petroleum engineering from the University of Wyoming, a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Calgary and a master of business administration from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Yaseen is an active member of his community, volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross and the Pakistan Canada Association for many years. Mr. Yaseen was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in November 2012 by then Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, the Honourable Donald S. Ethell. He enjoys reading, walking and volunteering and speaks English, Urdu and Punjabi.
