Hon. Muhammad Yaseen, Calgary-North

Heavenly Father we lift up to you, the Honourable Muhammad Yaseen, Parliamentary Secretary for Community Outreach and MLA for Calgary-North. Father we thank you for his giving heart and the many organizations he has volunteered with over the years. We pray for your wisdom, guidance and insight over Mr. Yaseen to bring unity, strength and purpose to the communities throughout Alberta. “The wise also will hear and increase in learning, and the person of understanding will acquire skills and attain to sound counsel that he may be able to steer his course rightly.” (Proverbs 1:5) Father may you protect and bless Mr. Yaseen indeed! Muhammad Yaseen was elected in 2019 and was appointed Parliamentary Secretary of Immigration. Prior to serving, Mr. Yaseen worked in the oil industry for almost 40 years. An engineer by profession, he is experienced in reservoir/joint ventures engineering, and he has held advisory roles for processing, transportation, contracts and projects. He holds a bachelor of science in petroleum engineering from the University of Wyoming, a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Calgary and a master of business administration from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Yaseen is an active member of his community, volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross and the Pakistan Canada Association for many years. Mr. Yaseen was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in November 2012 by then Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, the Honourable Donald S. Ethell. He enjoys reading, walking and volunteering and speaks English, Urdu and Punjabi.
