We bless Muhammad Yaseen in his appointment as Associate Minister of Immigration on July 8, 2021. Give him the energy and the organizational skills required to also give the attention required to his role as member of Standing Committees on Resource Stewardship, Legislative Offices and the Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund. We thank you for the desire you put in him to serve as an active member of his community in volunteering for charitable organizations over the years. Strengthen him and shape him to be all that you have called him to be. May he continue to be a man of character and integrity in all his dealings within the political realm and outside it. Muhammad Yaseen was elected in 2019 and was appointed Parliamentary Secretary of Immigration. Prior to serving, Mr. Yaseen worked in the oil industry for almost 40 years. An engineer by profession, he is experienced in reservoir/joint ventures engineering, and he has held advisory roles for processing, transportation, contracts and projects. He holds a bachelor of science in petroleum engineering from the University of Wyoming, a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Calgary and a master of business administration from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Yaseen is an active member of his community, volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross and the Pakistan Canada Association for many years. Mr. Yaseen was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in November 2012 by then Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, the Honourable Donald S. Ethell. He enjoys reading, walking and volunteering and speaks English, Urdu and Punjabi.
