Hon. Nathan Cooper, Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills

Dear Heavenly Father, this day, we lift up the Honourable Nathan Cooper, MLA for Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills. We say a prayer in regards to his service as a member of the Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services.  As he looks after the financial and personnel administration, we pray that all staff are able to work together amicably. We pray according to 1 Corinthians 1:10, “by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.” (ESV) In Jesus’ Name, Amen…….

Nathan Cooper was elected in 2015 and again in 2019. On May 21, 2019, he was elected by his fellow MLAs to serve as the 14th Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. Prior to serving as MLA, Mr. Cooper held a number of positions but most recently was chief of staff and director of legislative affairs for the Wildrose caucus. Previous to this, he served two terms as councillor for the town of Carstairs. Having been involved in the 4-H program from a young age, Mr. Cooper continues to support 4-H as a volunteer judge. Mr. Cooper also had the privilege of being a Rotary Club exchange student in 1998 and still continues to support the Rotary Club today.
