Jesus this day we bring before you our Minister of Municipal Affairs Ric McIver and we pray that you will direct his thoughts and plans to help our cities recover effectively from these past two years of economic struggle. We are thankful for his past municipal government experience that helps him to better understand his current role in our government. Lord be with him, his wife Christine and their children and grandchildren and bless them all richly. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Ric McIver was first elected in 2012 as the MLA for Calgary-Hays. He was re-elected on May 5, 2015, and again on April 16, 2019. He is a husband and father and has served three terms on Calgary’s City Council. He served on the Police Commission and as chair of the Calgary Housing Company while on Council and is a 12-year volunteer with the Calgary Stampede and supports a variety of charitable causes. Ric McIver was appointed as Alberta’s Transportation Minister on April 30, 2019, a position he has served in before.
