Lord, we bring our Minister of Municipal Affairs Ric McIver before You in prayer today and we ask that you would guide and direct him as he heads up this ministry to address the complex and diverse problems connected with the needs of our cities and towns. Thank you for Ric’s previous experience in civic government that has equipped him to better understand the inner workings of municipalities. Lord may he serve the people of Calgary-Hays well as their representative. Jesus bless him, his wife Christine, their children and grandchildren and keep them all healthy and strong. In your mighty name. Amen.
Ric McIver was first elected in 2012 as the MLA for Calgary-Hays. He was re-elected on May 5, 2015, and again on April 16, 2019. He is a husband and father and has served three terms on Calgary’s City Council. He served on the Police Commission and as chair of the Calgary Housing Company while on Council and is a 12-year volunteer with the Calgary Stampede and supports a variety of charitable causes. Ric McIver was appointed as Alberta’s Transportation Minister on April 30, 2019, a position he has served in before.
