Lord, I thank you for Hon. Rochelle Squires, MLA for Riel. I ask that you would help her to hear your voice and direction as she acts as the Minister of Families. May she express your heart in her responsibilities for accessibility, Francophone affairs and status of women. Help her as she works in the best interest of the people she is called to serve. Rochelle Squires was elected as the MLA for Riel in 2016. She served as Minister of sport, culture and heritage until her new appointment as Minister of sustainable development. Currently, she serves as the Minister of Families and is the Minister responsible for Accessibility, Francophone Affairs, and for the Status of Women. A journalist, Squires holds a bachelor of arts in communications from the University of Winnipeg, a master of fine arts from the University of British Columbia and a journalism diploma from Red River College. She and her husband Daniel have a combined family of five children and two grandchildren.
