Father, we are grateful for the life of Sam. As the youngest MPP elected, he reminds us of Paul’s young apprentice, Timothy, the pastor of the church in Ephesus. We know that when a new king, Saul, asked for wisdom, You gave it freely. May Sam share in that request. May he find favour and grace among those around him and those who oppose him. Give him strength to serve and real, tangible experiences to lead in the provincial cabinet. May he be slow to speak and quick to listen. Let Your name be on his lips when he speaks, and may it bring You praise and honour. Protect him, guide him, and bring him great joy as he serves Niagara West and the people of Ontario. Amen.
