Lord, we pray earnestly and deeply for Sidney and his family as he carries out the duties he has been assigned in the Legislature. We pray, Lord, for strength and wisdom for Sidney so that he may continue to serve You and the people of P.E.I. We thank You, Father, for the many skills and interests that Sidney has. He has shown tremendous interest and given deeply of himself with regard to community development through his involvement in development organizations, as well as coaching the youth of the community in hockey and baseball. He has used his education and training in the past to serve as a consultant, as well as Speaker of the House. We thank You, Lord, for his energetic commitment to his significant duties as Minister of Housing, Communities, Transportation and Infrastructure, as well as Minister of Energy, Education and Economic Development. In the past, he has also had responsibilities in the areas of poverty and climate change. What a wide range of talent You have given him, Lord! We pray that he will continue to grow closer to You each day, and that his wife and children will be healthy and happy in their relationship with You. Father, we ask that You would continue to give Sidney wisdom, courage, determination, and clarity in all the issues he deals with on a daily basis, along with courtesy, compassion, and transparency as he works with his coworkers and constituents. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen.
