Hon. Tim McMillan – Lloydminster

Father we bless and we thank You for MLA: Honorable Tim McMillan. You have chosen and appointed him for the position he stands in in our legislature. May he walk in Your wisdom, revelation, and favor. We ask Father that You would give him creative ideas and strategy’s that when implemented will impact not only Saskatchewan as a whole but will also impact individual citizens’ lives. In Jesus’name we pray. Amen.

Tim grew up on his family farm, 20 miles east of Lloydminster, where the McMillan family homesteaded more than 100 years ago.
Tim attended the University of Victoria where he received a degree in Economics. After his schooling, Tim travelled and worked abroad extensively. His travels have taken him from hiking to the Mount Everest Base Camp to diving on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
Tim is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and spent a year contracting as an IT professional in London, England. He then returned to his family farm to establish a business and raise his family. Prior to his election in 2007, Tim operated an oilfield service company. Tim was re-elected by his constituents in the 2011 provincial election.
In June 2010, Tim joined the provincial cabinet as Minister Responsible for Crown Investments Corporation, Saskatchewan Government Insurance, Information Services Corporation, and the Information Technology Office. In September 2010, Tim was also appointed as the Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority.
In May 2012, Tim was appointed as Minister Responsible for Energy and Resources, Tourism Saskatchewan, Trade, and SaskEnergy Incorporated.
He and his wife Ali, have two daughters, Reilly and Gracie.
