Thank You Father for the Honourable Todd Goudy and his commitment to the role of Speaker at the Saskatchewan Legislature. We ask for capacity and insight into maintaining loving relationships with his wife and children despite conflicting demands of his job and their activities. We ask for an intentional focus to be able to meet the needs of his first elected role, representing and supporting the people of the Melfort area. Father, give him wisdom in dealing with staff, volunteers, local leaders and other officials. In his role as Speaker, Father, we ask for an independent mindset that supports fair debate, balanced decisions, while upholding integrity and honour as models of behaviour. Todd Goudy serves as the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and has represented the constituency of Melfort since 2018. Raised in Melfort, he grew up helping his father and brothers develop agricultural innovations that supported prairie farmers. After graduation, Todd moved to Albania in the early 1990s to assist in rebuilding democracy and freedoms following the fall of communism. He later married his wife, Tannis, and together they raised six children while he served as a Baptist minister and operated a furniture manufacturing business. Todd also dedicated 10 years to the Northeast School Division as a school board member. Throughout his political career, he has served in several key roles, including Secretary to multiple ministers, Government Whip, and a member of the provincial Treasury Board.
