Thank you, Father, for Tyler’s appointment as Alberta’s Minister of Health. May he apply his strong record of public service to addressing the challenges currently facing Alberta’s health-care system. We ask you to foster in him a teachable, and discerning spirit with an ability to look at all sides presented. We pray that Tyler will have new fresh, creative ideas to serve him in his important role. May he walk in integrity and along the paths of righteousness. Bless him in his political career and bless his family. Amen.
Tyler Shandro was elected and sworn in as the Minister of Health in April 2019. Prior to serving with the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Shandro was a practising lawyer in Calgary. He has also been a member of the Calgary Police Commission and as a facilitator and evaluator for the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education (CPLED). Mr. Shandro served as a board member with the Canadian Association of Police Governance, Calgary Parking Authority and Calgary Ukrainian Festival. He has also volunteered with the University of Calgary Senate and the Calgary Stampede. Mr. Shandro holds his juris doctor degree and bachelor of arts from the University of Calgary. He and his wife, Andrea, and their two children are long-term residents of Calgary.
