Hon. Warren Kaeding, Melville-Saltcoats

Father, as I read through Warren’s biography I couldn’t help but notice that Warren serves as an elder in his church. What struck me, Father, is that it reads as a footnote. Oh Father, how I would ask that Warren’s life of service to and in his church would not read like a footnote from here on….  Father what we do in the service of others by Your guiding hand will be the mark of how we enter eternity. How disappointing it would be should Warren arrive at the entrance to eternity and find his service but a footnote on the annals of time. Father, search him out, cause his heart to be shaken and challenged by the time and the way he serves others – the purposes and intents of his actions. May he come to a place of surrender and submission to the things You would have for him, and may his record of service be one of headlines rather then footnotes. Amen……

Warren Kaeding was elected MLA for Melville-Saltcoats in 2016 and in 2019 he was appointed Minister Responsible for Rural and Remote Health, and the Minister Responsible for Seniors. Previously, he was  Minister of Government Relations and Minister of First Nations, Métis and Northern Affairs. He received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan in 1985 and worked as a territory manager for Hoechst AG from 1986-1996. From 1986-2011, Warren was also owner/operator of Wagon Wheel Seed Corporation. Warren is involved in his community as Chair of the local economic development board, elder in his church, member of the Lions Club, and an official with local minor hockey and baseball. Warren and his wife Carla have two adult sons.
