Kindness

Lord, we love You and we praise You. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit who leads us, teaches us, empowers and enables us to develop Godly character. Today we thank You the spiritual gift of kindness. In Luke chapter 10 we read the parable of the Good Samaritan who encountered a person in dire need of help. He felt compassion and showed this person great kindness. He gave of himself and his finances to ensure the well being of a stranger.

Lord, as we see needs of our fellow citizens during in this time, may we too have hearts of compassion. Let us be like the Good Samaritan and offer assistance and support to others. Lord help us find creative ways to reach out and help while maintaining physical distancing. May we find joy and peace in extending kindness to others. May the recipients be greatly encouraged and in turn offer kindness to more people, who will reach out to others, and so on. Let this be an ongoing chain of kindness. We pray in Jesus name. Amen.
