Minister Girard is presenting his budget against the backdrop of the wars in Iran and Ukraine, rising oil prices, the renegotiation of the free trade agreement, and new measures to curb immigration. A difficult exercise! How can the government stimulate wealth creation ($5.4 billion is planned) while also helping those suffering from inflation, unemployment, and related pressures ($6.8 billion is planned)? What does the future hold for us: recovery or famine?
