MLA Amanda Lathlin, The Pas-Kameesak

Today we lift up MLA Amanda Lathlin to you Lord. We thank you for Amanda’s desire to serve and encourage Manitobans.  May you strengthen her and increase her passion as she helps those around her. May you continue to give her not only direction, Lord, but detailed vision as she serves Manitobans. May she feel the blessings of our prayers for her and her family today. May she feel your loving presence. May you renew her body, mind, and spirit today and that she would feel burdens lifted and your peace. We ask for wellness, joy, and love to fill her home and her family. Amen.

Amanda was elected MLA for The Pas constituency in 2015, she was re-elected in 2016 and 2019. Amanda previously worked as a Representative Workforce Coordinator at the University College of the North (UCN) and was directly involved in creating the kind of educational and career opportunities in northern communities that help families thrive. Amanda Lathlin was the first First Nations woman to be elected to the Manitoba Legislative Assembly when she became the MLA for The Pas in 2015. Amanda is a mother, a lifelong northerner, a former band councillor and an active volunteer. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Native Studies and Political Studies from the University of Manitoba, and is a firm believer in the power of education to enrich and uplift the lives of northerners.
