MLA Amanda Lathlin, The Pas-Kameesak

Lord, we ask for your blessings in MLA Amanda Lathlin today and every day.  As an elected Indigenous woman you are providing wisdom and direction that best meets the needs of your constituency.  Lord, we  ask that you would bless her with protection and fullness of health over her family. Thank you for being faithful to meet her needs personally and within all of the area that she represents along with all of Manitoba. In Jesus name, Amen.

Amanda was elected MLA for The Pas constituency in 2015, she was re-elected in 2016 and 2019. Amanda previously worked as a Representative Workforce Coordinator at the University College of the North (UCN) and was directly involved in creating the kind of educational and career opportunities in northern communities that help families thrive. Amanda Lathlin was the first First Nations woman to be elected to the Manitoba Legislative Assembly when she became the MLA for The Pas in 2015. Amanda is a mother, a lifelong northerner, a former band councillor and an active volunteer. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Native Studies and Political Studies from the University of Manitoba, and is a firm believer in the power of education to enrich and uplift the lives of northerners.
