Dr. Andrew Weaver was elected as MLA for Oak Bay-Gordon Head on May 14, 2013 and re-elected in 2017. Prior to his election, he held the Canada Research Chair in climate modeling and analysis in the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences at the University of Victoria.
