Heavenly Father, we lift up Anna Kindy and we thank You that she brings to the Legislature the experience of many small town doctors in our province. Lord, grant her extraordinary wisdom and discernment as she serves as the Critic for Health. May You strengthen her with endurance, and give her peace and clarity as she represents her constituents. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Anna Kindy was elected as MLA of North Island in 2024. Anna’s journey in medicine began with her graduation from the University of Alberta Medical School in 1986. Early in her career, she worked in remote Quebec, gaining valuable experience and contributing to underserved communities. In a unique twist, from 1989-1992, she balanced a career as a family doctor in Port Hardy with her husband, who was also a GP, while simultaneously competing on the World Cup circuit in mogul skiing. She represented Canada in mogul skiing at the Albertville Olympics in 1992. She moved to Campbell River in 1998 with her husband and their 3 children.
