MLA Bernadette Smith, Point Douglas

Lord, we ask that you would give Bernadette Smith great joy. You have given her wisdom and creativity. Assist her to use that as a politician to make a difference for all Manitobans. Activate the many gifts that she has along with her voice of compassion for her constituents in Point Douglas and all of Manitoba. Keep her protected and healthy. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Bernadette Smith was first elected in a bi-election in 2017 and was re-elected in 2019. She was born and raised in the North End and is a proud Indigenous mother and grandmother. Bernadette is the co-founder of both the Manitoba Coalition of Families of Missing and Murdered Women in Manitoba (CFMMWM) and the Drag the Red Initiative. Also, she annually organizes the No Stone Unturned Concert for Missing and Murdered in Manitoba. Bernadette’s sister, Claudette Osborne, has been missing from Winnipeg since 2008.
