Carla Beck was elected in 2016 as the MLA for Regina Lakeview.
Carla serves as Deputy Opposition Whip and is the critic for Education, Early Learning and Childcare, Crown Investments Corporation, Saskatchewan Government Insurance, and SaskEnergy.
Prior to entering politics, Carla was the assistant executive director at a local women’s shelter. A registered social worker, she has over 20 years’ experience in that field, including work with Dales House, the Paul Dojack Centre, and the Regina General Hospital’s Women and Children’s Team.
In 2009, Carla was elected as the Trustee for Subdivision 5 on Regina Public School Board. She was named “Favourite School Board Trustee” in 2014 by the readers of Prairie Dog magazine.
Carla grew up on a mixed farm near Lang, Sk. For most of her life, Carla has been an active volunteer and leader in the community. Carla is married to Guy Marsden. They have made the Cathedral area of Regina their home, together with their three children, Hannah, Nolan, and Maya, for the last 20 years.
