MLA Colleen Young, Lloydminster

God we thank You for Colleen Young, MLA representing Lloydminster. We are thankful that she is dedicated to making kids and families are a priority, to improve their quality of life. Colleen was first elected to the Saskatchewan legislature in a November 13, 2014 by-election for the constituency of Lloydminster. She was re-elected in the 2016 provincial election. Colleen currently serves as Chair of the Standing Committee on the Economy and the chair of caucus Policy Committee on the Economy. Colleen was born and raised on a family farm east of Saskatoon and has called the Lloydminster riding home for the last 33 years. Colleen attended the College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan beginning in 1979 and has been active in education ever since. Colleen was a trustee of the Lloydminster Public School Division Board of Education for 20 years and served as the board chair for 16 of those years. Colleen is very active in the Lloydminster community and she and her husband, Kim, have one daughter and seven sons.
